Washington: Ambassador Đurić gave a lecture to the New York University students
At the invitation of the Department for International Cooperation of the Washington branch of the NYU, Ambassador Đurić was chosen to address the students as one of the youngest ambassadors of the Washington diplomatic corps.
With a brief overview of the historical and geopolitical background of Serbia's position and its contribution to global peace, security and solidarity, Ambassador Đurić presented the priorities of Serbia's foreign policy, assessing that the strength of Serbia's current regional and international position is grounded on the stability of its domestic policy.
“I am proud to be the messenger of good news about Serbia, economic progress, investment and infrastructure successes and achievements of Serbia in the digital and IT industry, and the messenger of new opportunities for business and academic cooperation with the United States”, Đurić pointed out.
Ambassador Đurić shared with the students his experience from diplomatic work in Washington, pointing out the enormous degree of responsibility and seriousness, as well as honour and pride that accompany representation of one's own country in the world.
The lecture of Ambassador Đurić, the first of this kind after more than two years, symbolically initiated a special educational programme at the New York University, aiming to familiarise the students with the role and importance of global leaders in the world foreign policy.
