Warsaw: Ambassador Košutić with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm
Ambassador Košutić pointed out the difficulties faced by the Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija and asked for more understanding and support from the Polish side.
Fogiel, who is also a member of the Serbian-Polish friendship group in the Sejm, expressed willingness to intensify the political dialogue between the two countries at all levels, including the possibility of visiting Serbia together with his colleagues.
The two colleagues discussed other topics such as current international relations, especially the necessity for consistent application of international law, Serbia’s EU integration process and the enduring Polish support concerning this very important foreign policy goal for Serbia.
Another important topic was economic cooperation between the two countries. It was pointed out that more attention should be devoted to this segment of cooperation, since Poland is Serbia’s eighth most important foreign trade partner, while Serbia is Poland’s most important trade partner in the Western Balkans region.
