Vienna: Marking the 30th anniversary of the first Austrian Remembrance Service at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum on 1 September 2022

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Austria Nebojsa Rodić attended the 30th anniversary of the first Austrian Remembrance Service at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, held in the Parliament of Austria.
The opening speech was delivered by Minister of European and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria Aleksander Schallenberg, who underlined that the memory of the Holocaust, as well as the fight against anti-Semitism, were Austria's main priorities at the national, European and international level.
President of the National Council of Austria Wolfgang Sobotka also addressed the audience and labelled anti-Semitism as a threat to democracy, values and diversity in society and announced even closer cooperation between Austria and the „Yad Vashem“ Holocaust Remembrance Centre in Jerusalem.
The Republic of Serbia is recognised as a long-standing partner of the mentioned programme.
