Valletta: Celebration of the Vidovdan Assembly

Head of the Valletta Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Rome Boško Šukić attended the celebration of the Day of Saint Prince Lazar and the Vidovdan Assembly, organised by and at the invitation of the Parish of Saint Apostle Paul and Saint Nicholas in Malta.
The Vidovdan Assembly was held in the city of Kavra.
Various competitions were held at the all-day outdoor event.
In his address, Head of the Office Boško Šukić emphasised the historical significance of Vidovdan, stating that it was the most important date in the collective consciousness of the Serbian people and one of the foundations of the collective identity of Serbs.
After the address, a cultural and artistic programme was organised with the participation of the Serbian children's folklore ensemble „Dukat“ from Malta, as well as the Orthodox church choir „Axios“.
