The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the UNESCO Mission in Paris, Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili, stated that the UNESCO World Heritage Committee unanimously decided to keep the Serbian cultural property, medieval monuments in Kosovo and Metohija, on the UNESCO List of World Heritage in Danger.

"This is extremely important, because it confirms the continuous serious threat to this property, which the Republic of Serbia constantly points out", the ambassador said.

As she reminded, these goods were put on the UNESCO list at the request of Serbia, and the state of Serbia regularly informs UNESCO about their state of conservation.

Medieval monuments in Kosovo and Metohija, which are on the UNESCO List of World Heritage in Danger, are the Visoki Decani monastery since 2004, as well as the Patriarchate of Pec, the Gracanica monastery and the church of the Holy Virgin of Ljevis since 2006.

The World Heritage Committee held the "Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage" in the Chinese city of Fuzhou, and one of the topics of the 15-day convention, which ended today, was "Determining the world heritage list and the list of world heritage in danger".
