UNESCO: Serbia a member of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions

At the 8th Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, the Republic of Serbia was elected a member of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, with a mandate from 2021 to 2025.

The Republic of Serbia is strongly committed to this Convention and since 2009, when it ratified it, it has made great efforts to achieve its goals, such as creating stimulating conditions for the development of creative industries and initiatives of civil society organizations in the field of culture, development of participatory cultural policies, strengthening cultural cooperation, promotion of artistic freedoms and gender equality policies, as well as making various forms of cultural expression more accessible, including their digital presentation.

Through membership in this important body, the Republic of Serbia will continue to promote and actively contribute to the implementation of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
