15. Dec 2022.
In the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tokyo, a concert was held on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the friendship between Serbia and Japan, in collaboration with the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA) Japan and the Association for the Promotion of Music Exchange between Serbia and Japan.

Young pianists who were winners of the competition organised by the World Piano Teachers Association Japan performed at the concert, and, together with jury members, played, among other compositions, several works by renowned Serbian composers - Aleksandar Vujić, Miloje Milojević and Marko Tajčević.

Ambassador Aleksandra Kovač thanked the co-organisers for their long-time cooperation and their role in the enhancement of cultural relations between the two countries and nations.

She particularly singled out the President of WPTA Japan, pianist Rika Fukuda, who had been relentlessly working on improving the musical cooperation between the two countries since her first visit to Serbia in 2013.
