20. Oct 2022.
At the invitation of the War Memorial of Korea Director Lee Sang-chul, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea, Nemanja Grbić, held a lecture about Serbia as part of the Conversation with the Ambassador program, which is held during the United Nations Week (UN Culture Week) in Seoul.

This event is to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Republic of Korea joining the United Nations.

Ambassador Grbić presented geographical position, history, culture, customs, and landmarks of Serbia, as well as political relations and economic cooperation between Serbia and Korea. He emphasised Serbia’s contribution to the United Nations family, being a successor state to one of its founders, and a significant participant in peacekeeping missions. He emphasised that Serbia is deeply committed to respecting the principles and postulates on which the United Nations rests, especially those concerning respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of member states.

After the lecture, Director Lee Sang-chul greeted Ambassador Grbić and thanked him for his participation in the Conversation with the Ambassador program, and expressed hope that some of the ideas on cooperation with related institutions in Serbia, which were discussed in earlier contacts, will be realized in the future.

The lecture was attended by representatives and officers from several countries within the United Nations Command.
