Representatives of the Embassy in Washington and the Consulate General in New York attended the "Srbijada"
"Srbijada" is the largest sporting event that brings together the Serbian diaspora from all parts of America and Canada. It was first held in 1993 in Windsor, Ontario, and is organized in a different federal state each time.
This year's host was the FC United Serbs East Coast from the city of Parsippany, state of New Jersey. The three-day football tournament gathered 23 teams.
According to the words of the coordinator of the manifestation, Veseljko Stojanović, this was the first participation of the Embassy in Washington, which prepared gift boxes with products and symbols of Serbia for the most successful teams and individuals.
In addition to sports competitions, guests enjoyed traditional culinary specialties and music. "Srbijada" ended with the victory of the United Serbs team from Milwaukee.
