Rabat: The Archives of Yugoslavia Exhibition officially opened

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Rabat - H.E: Ivan Bauer, opened the exhibition of the Archives of Yugoslavia hosted by the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco to mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, following an initiative forwarded by the Foreign Minister of Serbia H.E. Nikola Selaković.

This exhibition is the first of a series of events intended to present Serbian culture and tradition to the Moroccan public as part of the "Year of Serbia in Morocco".

The opening of the exhibition which offers a large quantity of archival materials related to the diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries, has been attended by numerous guests from the diplomatic corps in Rabat.

Along with Ambassador Bauer, the audience was also addressed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communications of the Kingdom of Morocco Mr Abdelilah Afifi, the Assistant Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia Ms Danijela Vanušić and the Director of the Archives of Yugoslavia Mr. Milan Terzić.

The exhibition also premiered a short documentary about the 1961 visit to the Kingdom of Morocco by Josip Broz Tito - then President of the SFR Yugoslavia.
