Oslo: Ambassador Petrović presented his credentials to the President of Iceland

Serbian Ambassador to Norway, Dragan Petrović, presented his credentials to the President of Iceland, Gudni Jóhannesson, at a ceremony held in Reykjavik, thus officially taking over the duty of Serbian Ambassador to Iceland on a non-residential basis, based in Oslo.

Ambassador Petrović informed President Jóhannesson about the economic potentials of Serbia, the process of European integration, as well as the regional cooperation that our country stands for, and called for strengthening the presence and investment of Icelandic businessmen in these areas.

During the meeting, President Jóhannesson especially pointed out the contribution of the representatives of the Serbian community in the field of sports and culture in Iceland.

In the conversation, mutual interest was also expressed in improving trade exchange and economic cooperation, especially in the areas of using geothermal sources, renewable energy and environmental protection.

During his stay in Reykjavik, Ambassador Petrović also had separate meetings with the Minister of Industry, Innovation and Tourism, Thordis Kolbrún Gylfadóttir, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the Serbian diaspora in Iceland.
