Kuwait: Meeting of the chargé d'affaires with new ambassador of Kuwait in the Republic of Serbia

After extending a warm welcome and gratitude for taking the time to visit the Embassy before leaving for Belgrade to assume his duties, chargé d'affaires Sanja Vidaković congratulated Ambassador Al-Mutairi on his appointment and for the quickly received agrément, stressing that it was a reflection of decades of friendship and successful cooperation between the two countries and the reputation that Kuwait had in Serbia.

Both sides assessed that bilateral relations were good, but that there was room, willingness and readiness for further improvement, especially considering that next year would mark the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations, representing a significant incentive for intensifying cooperation in all areas.

Charge d'affairs Vidaković informed Ambassador Al-Mutairi about the numerous activities that the Embassy of Serbia in Kuwait undertook during the past year, with a special emphasis on Serbia's initiative from December last year in connection with the opening of direct flights by Jazeera Airways on the route Kuwait–Belgrade.

Ambassador Al-Mutairi expressed satisfaction with his new office in the diplomatic mission in Serbia, which Kuwait considered important, pointing out that he was looking forward to cooperation and close communication with the Embassy of Serbia in Kuwait, especially regarding the celebration of the aforementioned significant anniversary in 2023.

At the end of a long cordial conversation, charge d'affairs Vidaković handed over to Ambassador Al-Mutairi information material about Serbia, as well as a personal gift as a sign of welcome to Belgrade.
