Great space for the improvement of cultural cooperation between Serbia and the Republic of Korea

The temporary chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Seoul, Aleksandar Đorđević, visited the exhibition of the Serbian artist Vladislav Šćepanović, which was set up at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Pohang, together with the Secretary for Culture of the Gyeongsangbuk-do province, Lim Jong-sik.

On that occasion, the chargé d'affaires and the provincial secretary gave lectures on culture and education, and the main guests were students from the Pohang Art High School and art professors from that city and the Gyeongsangbuk-do province.

According to the provincial secretary, cultural exchange is a key element for a better understanding of the world, and in this regard, he assessed that the exhibition of the Serbian artist, which is geographically distant from Korea, will be of great importance for Korean audiences and will contribute to further strengthening the relations between our two countries.

Charge d'affaires Đorđević pointed out the excellent bilateral relations between Serbia and Korea, emphasizing the importance of intensifying exchanges in culture and other areas of importance.

During the lecture on culture in diplomacy, Đorđević stated that the main priorities of Serbia's cultural policy are the preservation of the national cultural heritage, especially in Kosovo and Metohija and the Balkan region, as well as further strengthening of cooperation with UNESCO.

On that occasion, the charge d'affaires introduced the audience to the cultural heritage of Serbia, which is under the protection of UNESCO.

The exhibition of the Serbian artist Šćepanović and the promotional space for Serbia at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Pohang will significantly contribute to the promotion of Serbia and strengthening cultural ties with Korea, and it will create opportunities for further strengthening economic cooperation and establishing a direct contact between Pohang and our cities.
