Bucharest: Ambassador Tomašević visiting the University in Târgoviște
Rector Laura Monica Gorghiu, vice-rectors, deans and professors presented the system of operation and functioning of the mentioned institution, which marks its 30th anniversary this year.
Ambassador Tomašević agreed that the existence of the University was significant for the city and the district, and above all for families whose children had the opportunity to study there and be noticed by companies offering jobs during their studies.
He said that when attracting foreign direct investments, it was important to take into account the employment of highly qualified workforce, in order to prevent the outflow of young professionals.
The Ambassador proposed connecting the University in Târgoviște with some of the universities in the Republic of Serbia.
The interlocutors emphasised the importance of cooperation within European Union programmes, such as the Erasmus Programme.
