Berlin: Ambassador Janković with the Minister of State for Europe and Climate at the German Federal Foreign Office
Also, Ambassador Janković informed the Minister of State Ms. Lührmann about our country's efforts to strengthen the share of renewable energy sources in the total energy consumption, as well as efforts to diversify energy product supply.
Reminding that the Republic of Serbia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on climate partnership with Germany, as one of only a few countries in the world and the only country from Europe, Ambassador Janković pointed out that it provided a basis for even stronger cooperation between the two countries in the field of the Green Agenda and environmental projects.
Minister of State Ms. Lührmann indicated the readiness of the German Federal Foreign Office to cooperate closely with Serbia in this field.
In the conversation, other current topics in the Western Balkans region were discussed, such as meetings within the Berlin Process, dialogue between Belgrade and Priština and further reforms in Serbia in the field of European integration.
Both sides expressed the expectation that significant agreements would be adopted at the Berlin Process Summit, which would contribute to further connecting and strengthening cooperation in the Western Balkans.
