Baghdad: Ambassador Balov meets with the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Iraq

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Iraq, Uroš Balov met with Minister of Interior of the Republic of Iraq Abdul Amir Al-Shammari.

Ambassador Balov congratulated the new Minister on his inauguration, giving him a congratulatory message from Minister of Interior of Serbia Bratislav Gašić.

Ambassador Balov and Minister Al-Shammari discussed the rich history of 65 years of bilateral relations, and stated that the political relations between the two countries were excellent, but that there was still room for improvement.

Ambassador Balov expressed his particular gratitude for the principled and unambiguous support to Serbia in the efforts to prevent the so-called Kosovo's admission to Interpol.

They also agreed there was room for improvement of the police cooperation between Serbia and Iraq.

Minister Al-Shammari proposed that the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two Ministries be signed.
