Ankara: Establishment of a direct airline Ankara-Belgrade

The promotion of the tourist offer of our country was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ankara, in cooperation with the tourist organizations of Serbia and Belgrade.

On that occasion, Serbian Ambassador to Turkey, Zoran Marković, announced that an agreement had been reached between the presidents of the two countries, Aleksandar Vučić and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which will be implemented soon and according to which only ID cards will be used to enter Serbia and Turkey, which will be a step further in the already excellent bilateral relations that Serbia and Turkey have established.

Ambassador Marković also informed that an agreement had been reached on the establishment of a direct flight of "Anadolu Jet", a branch of "Turkish Airlines", on the Belgrade-Ankara route.

The director of "Anadolu Jet", Shamil Karakas, emphasized the importance of opening a new line and expressed expectation that, after establishing a direct flight, which is currently planned twice a week, the need to establish daily flights on this route will be created in a short period.

The director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Marija Labović, emphasized the importance of the Turkish market for Serbian tourism, referring to the advantages that Serbia, as a tourist destination, has in this market.

The director of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Miodrag Popović, said that the establishment of a direct airline and Belgrade's entry into another Turkish market besides Istanbul will significantly increase the number of guests from this country, which has been at the top of arrivals in Belgrade for years.

It was agreed that, before the realization of the first flight, promotional visits of representatives of agencies and media will be exchanged in order to further promote this project.

The gathering was attended by representatives of dozens of travel agencies, members of the diplomatic corps and media representatives from Serbia and Turkey. The event itself was enhanced by the presence of the first violins of the Belgrade Philharmonic, Tijana and Ksenija Milošević.
