Ambassador Vekić's visit to the Mausoleum in Jindrichovice

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Prague, Berislav Vekić, visited the Mausoleum in Jindrichovice, which is a memorial ossuary to the Serbs and Russians who died in the Austro-Hungarian camps on the territory of the Czech Republic in the First World War.
On that occasion, Ambassador Vekić met with Dejan Ranđelović, who was officially appointed guardian of the memorial ossuary in 2014.
Ambassador Vekić thanked Ranđelović for his commitment, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the fallen compatriots.
More than 40,000 prisoners passed through this camp, and the Mausoleum is the eternal home of 7,100 Serbs and 189 Russians. It was solemnly consecrated in 1931, when the Czech President Tomáš Masaryk presented this Mausoleum to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The last renovation of the memorial ossuary was in 1996, and the plateau above the Mausoleum in 2012.
