Ambassador Blagojević: Cyprus accepts all vaccines from Serbia, including Sinofram
"All that matters is that the passengers are revaccinated. According to the data published by the Ministry of Health, Cyprus recognizes all vaccines that are being received in Serbia", Blagojević told Tanjug.
In case passengers from Serbia are not vaccinated, Blagojević specified, they need a negative PCR test to enter Cyprus, not older than 48 hours before departure, and after entering Cyprus, they are obliged to do another PCR test.
"Passengers are obliged to remain in self-isolation until the test. If they are positive, they are obliged to remain in self-isolation, and in case of treatment, the Republic of Cyprus bears the costs of it", Blagojević said, adding that self-isolation in case of a positive PCR test lasts 14 days.
He says that passengers from Serbia need to fill in an electronic pass, the so-called "Cyprus Flight Pass", over the Internet 24 hours before the flight, where they enclose a negative PCR test or a vaccination certificate issued by Serbia, which is recognized.
"It is enough to have a "Cyprus Flight Pass" on your phone or printed. That is the only document you need", says Blagojević.
He stated that the situation regarding the corona virus in Cyprus is favorable and that a large number of fast and PCR tests are being done.
"Nearly 50 percent of the population are vaccinated, of which 47 percent received the first dose, and 17.3 percent both doses, thus fully completing the vaccination procedure", says Blagojević, adding that AstraZeneca, Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are administered in Cyprus.
He says that only for the vaccine Johnson & Johnson it is necessary for 14 days to pass from the revaccination, but that there are no such vaccines in Serbia.
In Cyprus, as he said, 40,000 to 80,000 tests are done daily, of which about 5,000 PCR tests and about 70,000 quick tests, which are free.
He said that there are checkpoints everywhere in Cyprus where tests can be done.
Blagojević says that curfew is still in force in Cyprus, from midnight to 5 am, that masks are worn everywhere indoors, and that they are not obligatory in the open.
