16 days of activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
The campaign motto was “Colour the world orange”, symbolised by colour orange, and our colleagues contributed to it in various ways, either by participating in special events with colleagues from other countries, by posting content on this important topic on social networks (see the Twitter account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) or, like our Embassy in Ljubljana, distributing campaign leaflets with relevant information on orange paper, thus drawing attention to this UN initiative and the need to oppose gender-based violence together.
On this occasion, the Serbian General Consulate in Trieste, in cooperation with the municipal authorities, to print a leaflet with basic information about this type of violence, including helpline numbers for victims, in Serbian.
Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Portugal, Ana Ilić, participated in the campaign with members of the Association of Ambassadors of Portugal and the Mayor of Lisbon.
Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bratislava, Marija Barlović, was on a collage poster with representatives of diplomatic and consular missions and international organisations accredited in Slovakia, in a campaign organised this year by the Embassy of Austria in Bratislava, attended by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer
Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia Željko Jović participated in the joint campaign by diplomats accredited in Bulgaria, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria.
In the organization of our honorary consul in Florence, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Italy participated in the campaign of a local community in Tuscany.
Representatives of our Permanent Mission to the OSCE in Vienna participated in the campaign together with colleagues from other missions.
