Political relations
The political relations of Serbia and Vietnam are good and without any open issues.
The last high-level visit was conducted when the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time Ivica Dačić officially visited SR Vietnam (7—11 September 2017), having discussions with the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh.
Economic relations
The value of the bilateral trade between Serbia and Vietnam in 2021 amounted to 201,11 milion euros, (4,76 million euros in exports from Serbia). , while the value of the bilateral trade in 2020 amounted to 201.82 million euros (4,81 million in exports from Serbia).
Bilateral agreements
- Protocol on cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of FRY and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (signed on 5 June 2000);
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on eliminating visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports (signed on 5 June 2000);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (signed on 23 February 2011);
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the avoidance of double taxation regarding income tax (signed on 1 March 2013; The Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 7/13 - International Agreements);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on mutual recognition of market economy status (signed on 1 March 2013).
