Political relations

Political relations are traditionally good and friendly. From the very beginning of the liberation struggle, the SFRY supported Namibia's efforts for independence.

In 2016, the former President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić decorated the President of the Republic of Namibia, Hage Geingob with the Order of the Republic of Serbia.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, paid an official visit to the Republic of Serbia on 20-22 October 2016. The Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia, Peter Hitjitevi Katjavivi participated in the work of the 141st session of the IPU Assembly, which was held in October 2019 in Belgrade.

 

Economic relations

According to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, total trade in goods with Namibia in 2025 amounted to EUR 537 thousands, of which exports from the Serbia accounted for EUR 404 thousands, while imports amounted to EUR 133 thousands.
