Political relations

Political relations between Serbia and Brunei Darussalam are insufficiently developed.

There were no meetings at the highest level since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The last high-level meeting was conducted in 2011, when the MFA at the time V. Jeremić visited Brunei, and the MFA of Brunei at the time, Prince M. Bolkiah, lead the delegation of Brunei at the MS of the NAM in Belgrade in September 2011. Bilateral meetings were held on this occasion with the President of the Republic of Serbia at the time B. Tadić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior I. Dačić.

Economic relations

Trade in goods between Serbia and Brunei Darussalam in 2021 amounted to 7 thousand euros, and in 2020 it amounted to two thousand euros. Trade in goods during 2019 amounted to 15 thousand euros.

  • Joint statement on establishing diplomatic relations with Brunei Darussalam (signed on 5 December 2011).
