Jović visits the People’s Republic of China

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Damjan Jović, addressed representatives of leading Chinese media outlets in Shanghai today, ahead of the upcoming ministerial meeting within the framework of the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI).

In his remarks, State Secretary Jović emphasized the importance of the Initiative as a significant step toward enhancing dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding among nations—an endeavor particularly vital in light of today’s global challenges and the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, Africa, and the Middle East.

On this occasion, he also highlighted the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the enduring "ironclad friendship" between the Republic of Serbia and the People’s Republic of China, reaffirming Serbia’s strong commitment to further strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

State Secretary Jović commenced his visit to the People’s Republic of China with a meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Shanghai, Mr. Ninoslav Erić.
