Antigua and Barbuda reaffirms support for Serbia regarding Kosovo and Metohija
The meetings confirmed the close cooperation between the two countries, recently strengthened by the mutual abolition of visa requirements, and founded on strong understanding between leaderships and successful coordination within international organizations.
Mr. Kozarev expressed his gratitude for Antigua and Barbuda’s support regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as for the official confirmation of the country’s participation in Expo 2027. He conveyed Serbia’s readiness to enhance its engagement—both bilaterally and regionally—through various forms of development, technological, and capacity-building assistance, including education and specialized training.
Both sides agreed that Serbia’s increased diplomatic presence in the Caribbean would provide an additional boost to bilateral relations. In this regard, the hosts invited Serbia to consider opening a diplomatic-consular mission in St. John’s, offering land and full logistical support for its establishment, while warmly thanking Serbia for the assistance provided thus far.
