Consular consultations between Serbia and BiH

Consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina were held today in Belgrade.

The participants discussed consular cooperation and other current issues of common interest.

Representatives of the two ministries assessed that the consular relations between the two countries are good, and that the Agreement on mutual representation in the provision of consular protection and services in third countries contributes to better protection of the rights and interests of the two countries.

It was stated that there is mutual readiness for further development of consular relations and cooperation, as well as improvement of the contractual status of the Republic of Serbia and BiH.

Further cooperation and regular exchange of experiences in the consular field, especially in relation to the provision of consular protection to citizens in urgent and emergency situations, was agreed.

The Serbian delegation was led by Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Vera Vukićević, and delegation of BiH by Frano Planinić, Assistant Minister for International Legal and Consular Affairs.
