Kinshasa: Ambassador Jevtić meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DR Congo

19. May 2022.
Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Kinshasa Miroljub Jevtić has met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DR Congo Christophe Lutundula Apala.

The Foreign Minister thanked Serbia for its efforts to increase the number of scholarships intended for students from the DR Congo who study in Belgrade as part of the World in Serbia Programme, and pointed out that doubling the number of scholarships this year was an exceptionally friendly gesture on Serbia’s part.

One of the other discussion topics was international organisations dealing with the protection of human rights, among which the most important was the UN Human Rights Committee, whose role in exercising human rights has been irreplaceable. The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of providing all kinds of support to those organisations since human rights were increasingly threatened.
