Tokyo: Photographic exhibition “Walking Belgrade” PDF Print E-mail

An exhibition of photographs from the "Walking Belgrade" serial by Branko Brandajs, a photographer and artist, presenting the capital of Serbia, was officially inaugurated at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tokyo. This exhibition was jointly organized by our Embassy and the Association of Artists and Art Lovers of the "Wide Trail" from Zemun, financially supported by the Association for the Advancement of Music Cooperation between Japan and Serbia, headed by the spouse of the former Ambassador of Japan in Belgrade, Mrs. Ecuko Cunozaki. The artist, together with President of the Association "Wide Trail" Bosko Djurickovic, thanked the guests for great interest in this exhibition, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its support.

Paris: “A Journey around the World – Serbia” PDF Print E-mail

In the packed hall of the Serbian Cultural Center in Paris, a musical evening "A Journey around the World – Serbia" was held, where our pianist Jasmina Kulagic presented two outstanding artists - Anna Mikulska, cello (Poland) and Philippe Argenty, piano (France), who performed as "Duo Fortecello". These two artists made the audience travel around the world.

Tokyo: Marking 135 years of diplomatic correspondence between Serbia and Japan PDF Print E-mail

Exactly 135 years ago, King Milan I Obrenovic sent a letter to the Japanese Emperor and Great Reformer Meiji informing him that "the great European powers, meeting at the Congress of Berlin on 13 July 1878, officially recognized the independence of Serbia", and that he was subsequently crowned in March 1882. In his reply letter, Emperor Meiji recognized Serbia as an independent state, thus formally establishing diplomatic correspondence between the two monarchies.

Helsinki: Promotion of Serbian tourism PDF Print E-mail

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Helsinki, in cooperation with Serbian citizens in Finland, organized a presentation of Serbian tourism for members of the Finnish Guild of Travel Writers. Journalists were first shown the film "Serbia - One journey, countless experiences" by the Tourist Organization of Serbia, after which Ambassador Sasa Obradovic talked about the beauties of Serbia, with the presentation of more than 60 photographs and short video materials that brought closer the natural beauties and richness of our country. In addition to the Ambassador, Mr. Pirka Junes, a young Finnish businessman, who recently visited Serbia and decided to start organizing conference tourism in Serbian spas, also addressed the audience.

Thessaloniki: “Saint Sava of Serbia” – an exhibition PDF Print E-mail

The exhibition familiarized the audiences with the life and work of St. Sava, and his importance for the entire history of the Serbian church and state.

New York: Old Serbian jewelry reinvented PDF Print E-mail

njujork 8620171Katarina Cudic, an art historian, a designer and author of artistic jewelry items, with special interest in the history of jewelry and contemporary jewelry, successfully presented her work, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York. The jewelry items created by author Cudic familiarized the audience with the medieval Serbian jewelry, reinvented in modern style.
