Helsinki: Inauguration of direct flights to Belgrade

altThe Embassy of Serbia in Helsinki hosted AirSerbia and Tourism Organization of Serbia at an event to launch direct flights between Helsinki and Belgrade on 1 June.

The guests were greeted by Serbian Ambassador Sasa Obradovic and Ambassador Petri Salo from the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Obradovic emphasized the importance of direct flights between the two capitals in terms of tourism, economy and culture. He expressed his hope that the flights would be operated successfully for a long time and wished representatives of AirSerbia and FinnAvia to continue their successful cooperation that was kick-started at this event.

At Kamppi Square in downtown Helsinki, Marija Serifovic, winner of the 2007 Eurovision Song contest held in Helsinki, staged a mini concert, co-hosted by AirSerbia and the Serbian Embassy.

Finnish tourism magazine "Five Stars" covered the event.
