Concert & exhibition at the Cultural Centre of the Serbian Embassy in Copenhagen

Copenhagen-City-Landscape-DenmarkAn exhibition of paintings and sculptures opened at the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Copenhagen, on 21 August 2013, and representatives of the Belgrade National Theatre's Opera House held a recital on the occasion.

The works of our expatriates in Denmark - painter Aleksandar Hajeder (Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade) and academic sculptor Vanja Bakoc (Faculty of Applied Arts, Belgrade) were exhibited. Virtuosi of the Belgrade Opera - Ms. Jelena Vlahovic (leading mezzo soprano), Mr. Aleksandar Stamatovic (bass baritone) and Mr. Ivan Jovanovic (pianist) had an outstanding performance.

The official opening ceremony of the exhibition and the concert were attended by some one hundred guests, including ambassadors from several countries (Lithuania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Iraq, Pakistan, Burkina Faso, and others), other members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the European Commission in Denmark, and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church. This cultural event was also attended by representatives of the Danish media and cultural institutions, as well as many representatives of our diaspora.
